I have a confession.  I am generally not nice to my skin.  In the summer, I’m downright mean to it. Between sunscreen, sweating in the heat or while working out and shaving daily (come on, you know  you don’t shave EVERY day in the winter either) my skin takes a beating.  I’m sure that the fact that I often shower twice a day (once in the morning and once in the evening after I run), doesn’t help at all.  On a good day I remember to put lotion on my legs.  The rest of my body? Well, it suffers.  With the current heat wave and the fact that I’m living in sleeveless sundresses, that suffering skin is not a good thing.

I’m not gonna lie, I found myself looking forward to my twice daily showers.  A shower is a little bit of “me time.”  The boys are almost always asleep and I can take as long as I want and just relax.  The daily craziness that is a preschooler and a toddler has either not yet started or has ended.  I can enjoy a few moments to myself without worrying if someone needs a drink or if everyone is sharing toys.  Adding Dove® VisibleCare™ Softening Crème Body Wash to my showers has only  made that me time more enjoyable.  After just one week of use, not only was my skin less dry, it was visibly softer.  All of a sudden, the arms and legs peaking out of the sleeveless sundresses looked so much better.  It was amazing.  I didn’t feel self-conscious of my skin.  I was proud to show it off!
