It’s Time to Plan!
In case you haven’t realized it by now, I like to plan. And research. I LOVE researching and planning and researching some more. I’m honestly beyond thrilled when I have something going on in my life that requires planning. Once a big event is over, I’m looking for the next big thing. Well my friends, the next big thing is on the horizon. We are taking the boys to Disney World.
Thanks to a nice tax refund (not return, refund. A return is what you file. A refund is the money that you get back. *steps off accountant soapbox*) and a good deal on a package, we have decided that we will be making a trip to Disney World in late September. It will be a birthday trip as it will fall over Xander’s birthday and just before Jack’s birthday.
So, this means that I have just over six months to obsess over plan our trip. I’ve already booked the rooms and most of our breakfasts and dinners, but there is still so much to think about! I have been watching airfare. I’m ready to pounce if it drops.
The husband and I are well versed in traveling to Disney World. Counting our wedding, we were there four times in a span of six years. We know how to tour Disney World as adults. But now we are adding two boy-children to the chaos. I’m thinking it won’t be as big a leap as I think. Mostly because the last time we were at Disney World I was 7 months pregnant with Jack. And it was July. I’m pretty sure that dragging a large pregnant woman around in 100 degree weather is a lot like dragging a toddler and preschooler. Heck, it might even be easier, because this time we’ll have strollers. There is no such thing as stroller for a pregnant lady.
Because I’m in the weird place where I have a ton of Disney World knowledge and it being our first time to Disney World with the boys, I’ve decided to chronicle our planning and some tips that I’ve picked up along the way. I don’t know how regular it will be but don’t worry, I promise not to bore you with non-stop Disney posts. Well, not until September at least.
So, do you have any Disney World questions? Or maybe some advice for me?

you make me smile, my little planner!
My husband usually has our visits laid out on an hourly basis!
LOL!!! He has downloaded the park app that allows us to see which parks have the highest volume of visitors. So, we plan our meals around that number, often visiting 2-3 parks per day depending on the volume. We also use every single magic hour in order to reduce the amount waiting in line. He plans it all according to all of those things. Also, we utilize the line waiting app to decide where to go next. We have 4 small kids and the planning makes it really successful for us. Good luck and have a magical time!
A stroller rental makes our Disney trip so much easier because the strollers are lighter and easier to maneuver through the crowds and you don’t have to worry about your own personal stroller being stolen or broken.
Ah, I would LOVE to see the wedding pictures! I know that’s weird to say to an almost complete stranger, but still. I could just imagine all the magic!
I never get tired of Disney posts. I am an obsessive planner, too – with WDW more than other trips, though. And I am SO sad that our next trip (whenever it comes) will be our 1st without a stroller – I will have to carry my crap!
