Six Months

Xander is six months old today.  In some ways it feels like we just brought him home last week.  In other ways, it feels like he has been apart of our lives forever.

Xander is a wonderful little boy that we are blessed to have in our lives.  Xander looks very much like his big brother.  It’s quite odd to me as when I look at Jack, I immediately see my husband, but when I look at Xander, I think he looks like Jack and not necessarily like my husband.

Xander enjoys hanging out first thing in the morning.  If he took a bottle over-night, it could be 30 or 40 minutes after he wakes in the morning that he wants a bottle.  (We are going to start working on cutting out the night time bottle. Wish me luck!)  X loves listening to his Daddy and big brother talk.  He is purposely grabbing at objects and is an expert at grabbing the little hairs on my neck (OUCH!).  Xander can sit unassisted for about 30 seconds at a time.  When he is on his belly, I swear that he is trying to army crawl.  Right now X has two teeth and I’m fairly certain that he is working on at least one more.  Our journey into solid foods has been a little slow, but we are making progress. So far X is a huge fan of homemade applesause, but not much else.

Xander is growing and changing so quickly.  I’m trying hard to cherish every moment but at the same time, I’m anxious to see what his next milestone will be.

X having fun in the high chair last week. No picture from today as my husband says I shouldn't be allowed to upload pictures. Something about an IT issue at work 2 weeks ago. I have NO IDEA what he's talking about.

funny, but I agree with you. Pics of X look just like Jack… But not like the husband. How does that happen? He’s entirely a super-cutie pie though.
